Yep, I remember that night too. Gigantic flakes. Picked up about 3-4cm here by early morning.

IIRC, parts of Nanaimo got 20-30cm that night.

The 12Z Euro looks almost identical to the 18Z GFS at hour 240. The GFS ended up arctic cold. Not saying the Euro will but I'm excited to see how the Euro trends in the coming days. :D :thumbup:

If it works out the way some of the models are suggesting it would be an odd route to take to get to an arctic outbreak. But that is an impressive Alaska ridge so I guess it could happen

It could? It will! unfortunately and it will be historic in my opinion very cold February incoming.
