Maybe another few weeks. The equatorial SST still suggest -ENSO so this could still flip to a coldish maritime polar pattern with cold building up in AK.Pumpkin Seed wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 10:35 am I was just thinking about to say sayonara few minutes ago but now maybe I should hold it for another week or two?

Yep. Even here at 3000' it feels like spring.
Sure there may be some snowfalls throughout March or even April but that doesn't mean it's winter. Really only had 1 month of actual winter here.
Bring on actual spring!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

I am going to wait until Sunday or Monday. If no arctic blasts seem to be on the radar, I will then be ready to stick a fork in this winter so far as further arctic blasts are concerned. So far as lowland snow is concerned, it will be a while. We have had some pretty good snowstorms in March.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I never made it to that donut shop in Deep Cove despite visiting Deep Cove (and living in N Van) for a while.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 3:58 pm Yes,bring on Spring, 15°+,shorts,and Deep Cove...yes Deep Cove, home of the best donutson the planet. Yes wasnt that cold in the similkameens this year either except for around xmas...brrrr. otherwise run of the mill H-5 L-15 kinda thing. Decent snowpack though but at all elevations due to long time low snow levels

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Re: February 2022 Forecasts And Discussions
It was a nice front loaded winter but we paid the price in the back 2/3rds of it.
Really the last 3 Februaries haven't been good, I'd say we're almost in a February slump all of a sudden.

No shorts allowed Gimps unless you sign a waiver giving up your winter rights. Dunk'n your donuts is prohibited unless in a deep cove, Banters ice cream can only be consumed within the city limits of Abbotsford.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 3:58 pm Yes,bring on Spring, 15°+,shorts,and Deep Cove...yes Deep Cove, home of the best donutson the planet.
