Still looking good for early next week followed by another chilly signal early March perhaps.
Maybe abit more moisture around for early March, one good early March event was 1974? we were living in Point Grey area west 16th & Arbutus. l remember for a couple of day's lows were hovering around -2c highs around -1c we had snow showers for those few day's with about 10cm on the ground
I could be off on the year.

Yes l recall there were a couple March events in the early to mid 70's, so it is possible of course the March blast of 2002 was amazing and l'll never forget that one it was around the 20th we were living in Maple Ridge it was an actual Arctic blast with outflow and afew cm's of snow.

Expecting the Arctic fluffer to enter the Fraser Canyon Lytton area by Sunday afternoon there's a possibility of some mixed precip in the central fraser valley along the Arctic boundary overnight Sunday into Monday morning.
Also expecting E.C. to issue a SWS for chilly temperatures along with outflow conditions producing cold wind chills should be issued with the 5a.m. package l'm surprised no Wpro? :o

Pretty notable event in 1976: https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... 76&Month=3#

Snow on the ground at YVR for eight days. Pretty rare for March.

And yep - 2002 was a notable one too. Had two separate cold snaps during March. One shot of cold air early month for a couple days with some flurries. Warmed up for a few days before another shot of more persistent cold air in mid month with a few heavy rounds of snow.

Yes not bad l'm thinking we just might pull a decent event off this year but part of me is being reserved at this point anytime there's a signal is always exciting.
But Kells mentioned the PNA l forgot its almost like the stars have to line up.

Lots of cold members for that early March signal, however lets enjoy this upcoming late winterish weather.

Listen up! A full blown arctic blast is expected to effect the BC south coast beginning next Monday. Very cold temperatures may cause any fresh growth on plants or trees to be severely damaged or destroyed. High outflow winds may be damaging and may cause power outages.

Welp l guess a couple day's of highs around freezing with cold wind chills doesn't warrant an SWS. :wtf: oh well.
