It's an outstanding comfortable 22c @ the pond in south Sardis under clear skies.
Wait a minute l thought there was an emergency alert system in place for heat warnings. The only warning l got was a hawk alert while l was trying to sleep.

I'm interested to know how many more heat waves we are going to see this summer. Looking at the latest weather models, I don't see anything significant in the foreseeable future. That said, one or two more heat events similar to this one wouldn't surprise me. It will be interesting to see how the weather pattern plays out in July and August.
I think we will get 3 or 4 including this one, probably one more in each month seems to be the way lately.

We might actually get a decent amount of rain this July! Average is roughly 30-35 mm for Abbotsford in July...

Last year’s June heat wave was oppressively humid, but it really is the only one in 30+ years of living in the Northwest that has been so.
I was in Chicago in August 20 years ago, and the day I arrived had dew points were where people here gripe about the humidity yet everyone there was congratulating themselves on now nice and cool and crisp it was. It then proceeded to get truly hot and humid. I remember waiting 10 minutes for a bus at 10:00 PM, and getting thoroughly drenched in sweat (for doing nothing but stand around for 10 minutes).
Maybe you dragged the anomalous weather up here with you. Last summer was outstanding (for cactus like plants)
We missed the first winter, but maybe the 3rd consecutive LN will deliver a massive winter score in 6 months time
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Too wet!
The way this Juneuary has gone Tsoaked makes total sense similar to a day or 2 of nice weather in winter don't we usually end up drenched after the nice weather.
It's a scorching but far from a heat dome 34c @ the pond in south Sardis with some clouds.
