Perfect heatwave. Not long or extreme and bookended by rain including about 20 mins of thunder right overhead last night.

It looks like the mid-June outlook update shows we're expecting to be in Neutral conditions by meteorological Winter/Spring with increasing odds of El Nino and decreasing odds of La Nina.

Unfortunately Granddaddyp2233 EC pooped 💩 the bed on that one.
The TS's were Monday night today was just the good ole Pacific ocean air conditioner kicking in. I just don't get that they couldn't see the development yesterday. I mean members on here saw it happening hours before EC put them in the forecast by then they were winding down. :crazy:the cherry on the sundae🍨 was the 20 minute severe thunderstorm warning for the central valley that taken down 20 minutes after being issued.

Not that warm at whistler today, maybe 20° . Cool this evening at Lost lake,11-13°,a few sprinkles,, but catching half a dozen trout made it all worthwhile .

Yes quite the change in temp, 10c less today than yesterday and I'm finding it a little chilly inside, big change from trying to cool the house down.

Nice looking fish, one of Sardine's relatives? That's a lot of fish, cooler temperature is probably better for fishing anyway.

It was a good afternoon for cutting firewood too. My neighbour had a hemlock come down last fall and we bucked it up and I've started splitting it so it would be able to dry in the hot sun...guess we were a few days too late and have missed summer now.

I tarped it to protect it from the predicted showers but it was barely a drizzle. Time to start watering.
