I actually ended up with 37.0 mm yesterday according to my manual gauge. I thought something didn't seem quite right! I guess my rain gauge must be plugged with leaves... don't have time to look at it today.

It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood.... a very nice and balmy 14° down here at white rock beach, and a 90 min walk was just the tonic after last night's election results , I guess the sky won't fall after all.......not yet anyways. Next election sardineman will get my vote if he runs for the rhinoceros party.

And here I thought they were going to get shut out. In the end it was sunny with two cloudy periods.

Going to enjoy this long dry spell because I am seeing signs of a very very wet early Nov. Pattern has a very +ENSO look to it right now with the monster +PNA signal and -NAO.

Lots of sunny crisp 12C/2C type days on tap thru early Nov it would seem with a weak backdoor arctic airmass.

The theme so far this fall has been pronounced wet periods followed by long dry spells...major blocking is doing the trick. Hopefully that works in our favour by mid or late November.
