Case in point, it's a chilly 21c at YVR with a moderate W wind... meanwhile it's a pleasant 27c in Pitt Meadows.

Speaking of frigid and deadly , I remember, quite a few years now , going to the beach in Aug at Deception Pass in Whidbey Island. It was hot out and thought the water would be nice and warm, thinking the further south you go the warmer the water, boy was I wrong . I think I dipped my feet for 5 seconds and that was it for my swim . I absolutely couldn't believe how cold the water was. If you haven't gone, a very beautiful scenic area. Quite the riptides and swirls under the bridge.

Haha , fort langley mosquitoes made it on global news. Apparently only 10-15% have invaded the town, the other 85% were killed off by non toxic sprays before they hatched..yeah right

The mosquitoes ARE bad this year. I was standing on the driveway at 5:45PM tonight, in the sun and got bit twice! Now that is insane!

Heard someone on radio on sportsnet 650 the other day say there's lots of mosquitoes in White Rock, I'd like to know where. Haven't seen any at or near my place, and went for a walk this evening in my daughter's neighborhood of Grandview corners where there's still some wooded areas. I was deliberately looking for mosquitoes couldn't see any , notta one.
I guess it pays to live well away from the Fraser river.

Sunset was incredible tonight! It reminded me of the summer thunderstorm a few years back when the sky was bright like this but more ominous and the thunder rumbled for a couple of hours.

High in Sechelt of 24.5, above EC's forecast of 23 but not too unpleasant. Low of 14.2c and currently 19.9.

And ya..its bad. Funny..i was just going to post last night saying there must be a write up somewhere about the mosquitos cuz there are lots and they are very aggressive, as mentioned previously, like the ones in the Similkameens
Ohhhh maybe i have been unknowingly transporting hundreds of eggs back this way since covid-19
