Too funny Skipper it's currently 20c @ Chilliwack's official weird reporting station and 21c @ the sardine pond in south Sardis.

The 12z Euro has a big heat wave around the 11 to the 15th. Thankfully it's later in August and the sun has a little less punch as compared to a month ago. Nights are a bit longer too. Would be nice to get a good quick shot of rain in here before the next hot and dry spell.

Heatwaves still pack a punch at this time of year, if we get those >25c 850mb temps. On the extreme end, our window for parts of the Lower Mainland to get close to or hit 100f runs thru early September -- see 2017 or 1988 as examples of this.

That's just insane Toverheat, but in fairness in 2017 didn't the smokefest cap our highs somewhat? I was living in Mission at the time and the overnight lows in late August early September were the low 20's on afew mornings before gradually moderating.

you have a better chance of watching waves roll in Bones. Perhaps Ms. Creekers petting zoo will be open.

Sadly, few know who they are anymore. What is this world coming to?

If you're eating out at all may I suggest a couple of restaurants , the Bistro upstairs at Gibson's public market, and Shift kitchen in Sechelt. And Claytons for the best cream filled long johns in the lower mainland.

I wondered if you'd be mentioning them. My favourite donuts are the jelly donuts from SuperValu in Gibsons, The glazed are pretty good too. They're short of staff in the bakery though so it's hit and miss if they have them.

Only saw 3 meteors last night in about an hour. Also saw a half dozen satellites and 2 UFOs with red blinky lights, seemed to be flying in a straight line on a flight path for YVR, maybe they're going to check out EC's weather station.

Wow Super Valu l haven't heard that name in years there still around? the Safeway peanut butter cookies and cream puffs are a favorite of ours in Chilliwack.
Although the cream puffs are not a everyday item.
I wonder if Bones will be rattling through Gibson's quickly.

Too much light pollution at my work in Abby, although l did strain my eyeballs to no avail.

Bellingham avoided the century mark in June of last year, but hit triple digits in August during that hot offshore wind event.
