Well if you want to see some fun in action go to the AF and see words like historic and awesome as well as the S word thrown in they are going absolutely bananas don't they know climo will rear it's ugly head or the models backing off on extreme cold solutions.

Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Brett Anderson says confidence is "high" for an extended November dry spell for SW BC. However looking at the ensembles and the 12z GFS run it's not likely. 00z is drier but still has some precip after around the 5th and has heavy rain for North and central Coasts I don't know what he's looking at. Maybe he's only looking at one model run.

Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Abby did say his rain gauge was plugged the other day. Perhaps he hasn’t fixed it. We had just 0.5mm of rain from yesterday’s storm. Leaving October about 20mm below average for monthly rainfallSardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 1:13 am Holy! crumbs only 6mm for Abby Sr. in the last 24 hours.with the downpour tonight I ended up a storm total of 23.2mm and now 142.4mm for the month. Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
A very impressive airmass sneaks into Washington and Oregon from the east on Monday/Tuesday. “Backdoorâ€Â. Should be a cold east wind in places like Portland, more impressive than what’s likely up here. One thing it should do is keep the offshore flow going, which could help keep Nito’s foggy inversion at bay.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 1:03 am Well if you want to see some fun in action go to the AF and see words like historic and awesome as well as the S word thrown in they are going absolutely bananas don't they know climo will rear it's ugly head or the models backing off on extreme cold solutions.![]()

6z GFS was a warm outlier in the long range. Still lots of cold members with a decent trough showing up.

Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I fixed it the other day. I'm surprised you got that much... it seemed like a fairly dry front. In fact YXX got less rain than me with 5.6 mm, and just 3.6 mm in Vancouver. Seems like the majority of the rain was in the eastern valley.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 1:13 am Holy! crumbs only 6mm for Abby Sr. in the last 24 hours.with the downpour tonight I ended up a storm total of 23.2mm and now 142.4mm for the month.
