Astronomical summer is June 21st - September 21st, and it's looking quite dry for that period.

The two month period of July and August was the 2nd driest for Abbotsford, behind 2017. If September continues to be dry, we could be looking at some records for July - September.
Zilch for rain in the central valley this September perhaps a trace at most.
It's a chilly 11c @ the pond in south Sardis with afew thin clouds.

I was distracted with two sick kids. My brain was in a couple different places, so I had meant astronomical summer. I think this year--off the top of my head--autumn begins September 23. Regardless, yes, places like Abbotsford could be in record dryness territory for the astronomical summer. Just under 20mm of rain. Oldest two kids were up early enough to see the red sunrise. Momentary outflow wind this morning here in Mission.

We're now losing the most amount of daylight possible each day. In the first week of October we will start to slow down the amount of light being lost each day :)

Wow man image if the remants of that typhoon in the GOA plowed into the south coast it would have made Freda in Oct/62 look so tame.
Any thoughts on this it's much farther north but yet look at how much it's kept its strength still.
The waters in the north Pacific are extremely warm this summer.

Here is the total June - September rainfall stats for Abbotsford I posted a few years back. Will update to 2022 once this month ends.
