Another quick change to fall coming. Late heat signals cold start to winter. The seasons always seem to balance with each other. Wet spring equal dry summers. I think this might be an eventful winter. We will see how the ridges hold out but the nature of averages says it will be a cool winter and a bit wet.

Sounds good mini minion man, October 17th and the grass looks like mid summer still that's going to cause pooling water until saturation happens hoping the rain is gradually we can't handle a deluge. IMO

This is not good Bones for the Sumas prairie and the possibly of flooding too much to quick.
I guess there's a reason they kept the sand bags at the highway 1 Sumas river bridge in Abby all year.

Smoky trip into Langley today. It has been a bit smoky up here, quite visible in the flashlight beam or the moon's bloodlit look but nothing as compared to the Valley. It got worse the farther out I went, I was happy to be heading home.

Outstanding amazing shots other than the lower sun angles you wouldn't know it was mid October could pass for a mid summer smoky sail.
Yeah don't blame you for not wanting to hang around in the big smoke pardon the pun.
I seldom go beyond Abby land it's still busy enough in the central valley but at least in 30 min. and we can be out into wilderness if we wanted to.
