Yes, you are correct. I was doing some yard work and it started hailing. Then it became sleet and the temp dropped. It lasted about 20 minutes. It wasn't heavy hail or sleet, but fun nonetheless. I just stood in it. :D

Curious to know the 850 and 500mb pattern was in mid-November 2006. I remember the 5-day forecast that Friday night and Saturday was otherwise forgettable with marginal showers/flurries. There was a large pool of Arctic air in BC but no mechanism to draw it out--until that low formed s/w of the Island and caught everyone by surprise. I doubt that will happen Sunday into Monday, but I'm nonetheless interested in comparing that pattern to what's forecasted by Sunday-Monday.

Geesh, Mr. Mattress that sounds eerily similar to the non mechanism in place for the Knuckle heads to score however should a decent formation take place that could definitely draw in more goals.
It's currently 5c @ the pond in south Sardis we could see frost on the charred burnt out pumpkins by morning barring cany cloud cover.

2006 event was right at the end of November though, so not much of a comparison to current.

Was a pretty extreme pattern switch though... went straight from floods to ice and snow.

He's got the timeline mixed up a bit. Flooding rains (along with the boil water advisory) came prior to the snow and cold.

00z runs = cold :raindrip: then dry. Trough veering too far offshore.

Have a better feeling about December!
