Back to back freezes... -0.6C yesterday evening and -1.0C early this morning.

North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

BC MOT permanently removed the Sutton Pass camera. What a shame.

I was informed many cameras in remote regions are very expensive to maintain though.

“Borderline” is a tad generous. Snow near sea level when it’s +1 at the 925 mbar level? Yeah, right.

Edit: See there’s subfreezing 925’s over the Island. Monty special?

Character signature of a developing arctic frontal boundary. Dry in the Valley with higher precip rates further SW.

The transmission tower got hit by lightning awhile back I believe
