Why they continue to play for their club teams this close to the world cup is beyond me.
Club season runs August till May. World cup is typically in June and July but because it's in Qatar this time they had to have it in winter.

Crepeau is the backup GK. We have another injury to a backup CB (center back), Scott Kennedy.

St Clair will be a good enough backup in the absence of Crepeau. Was an MLS all star last season.

Another player passes, l remember Peter McNab played for the Boston Bruins back the 70's and early 80's decent player.
I had to look it up l didn't realize he played for Vancouver for 2 seasons back 83/84 & 84/85, having only played 13 games in 83/84 must have been picked up in a trade but played in 76 games in 84/85 he had a decent season racking up 23G 25A for 48 pts.

True but I just feel terrible for players in this situation. Just missed a lifelong dream by 2 weeks.

Ay caramba! Mama mia! What on earth has happened to Demko! Bubble Demko nowhere to be found , instead has turned into a sieve. Good for 1-3 bad goals every game. Have the hip surgeries caught up to him? I think someone mentioned that over the summer that he might not be the same and maybe trade him while his stock is high. Without him the season truly is hopeless unless Boudreau gives Spencer the ball and runs with it.

What am I staying tuned to :?:

Couldn't agree more skipper perhaps your right Soencer maybe there only hope but l don't know then were suddenly without a bonafide NHL starter then it's like were starting from scratch in goal now. Good D men and good goalkeepers are difficult to come by there hooped look at the improvement with the I-5 juggernauts that's how you build a team.
Stay tuned for the next avatar on most of these cable stations. :wtf:

You don't trade demko lol he's having a tough start but so does every goalie once in awhile. Yes he's been brutal but he will bounce back.

Unfortunately Weedman, hockey fans in Vancouver loose their patience very quickly look at how Luongo quickly fell out of fan favorite after the 2011 plsyoff meltdown.
Unfortunately his claim to fame was winning us the gold metal at the 2010 Olympics here when we won l thought yes! the cup is ours Luongo was on fire at the right time but as usual it didn't happen. :x you know there's people l talked to that gave up on the Knuckles after that series, perhaps maybe not die hards but the fan interest was there now it's a complete disaster how many years now?

Luongo is in the hall of fame for a reason tho. Vancouver is a very bandwagon city for sports. Canucks have been bad for like 9 years now so I understand the fan frustration

I know l'm not knocking Luongo he is an elite goaltender indeed l was just disappointed in his ability not to get the job done in Vancouver although he's not the first not able to.

This time l fully prepared it was 2 zip Knucklenuts it's 2-1 over the Maple Syrups so the collapse is under way. I've got my skipper Grumps approved items to ease the pain later.
:mdrama: :beersign: :drunk: :w101: and of course the Knuckles flag of approval. :bs:

Roberto's game seems to take dive when he wasn't getting 40 shots a night.

BTW, here's how Hockey Hall of Fame inductees Daniel and Henrik Sedin stack up against other NHL siblings...
