Ya, maybe every renewal period Stuffy you can post the amount needed, and open up a way to interac/debit transfer funds to you from our bank accounts. No fees usually involved with that vs Paypal nonsense. Then the funds will go right to your account, which you could even set up in your bank strictly for funds donated to you. I'm with TD and I don't think I get charged for sending interac etransfer or whatever they call it, or if they do it's like 25 cents or something.

If someone knows of a web host with good performance that doesn't cost much, or would be a price that the forum could pool together easily, I would be game to get something.

Ya, that was a sad story. Both those guys have never come here. They let the forum hosting to expire down to the last 2 days and we could not reach any of them. We copied the database in order to preserve it and not lose everything, in order to relaunch THEIR forum and that made them angry, and then that site went dead and we were forced to open THIS forum. That upset them for some reason, and one guy threatened to sue us. Over why? I have no idea. Maybe because we used the memberlist from the database. But that was the only way to allow all current members to be able to sign in again without creating new accounts and all that mess. That was a rough time for all members because many accounts were dormant and we would send out emails trying to tell people where the new forum was, but most never got the email. Anyway, that was a long time ago and eventually the members that enjoyed that forum eventually found their way here. Just a bit of history and nostalgia for everyone!

Who says a weather forum is a just a bunch of nerdy geeks getting together to discuss atmospheric conditions? We have lore and drama- we should get a reality TV show or something.

RGEM looks very snowy Sunday night in the lower mainland.

My early gut feeling is the lower mainland is gonna beat the south east of Vancouver island on this event.

As long as we get a good amount, they're welcome to beat us in the totals

Did someone say snow

It was snowing earlier in Horseshoe bay with the outflow winds coming down the howe sound cooling the temps a few degrees. Back to rain now but looks like fun times ahead.

Also going to Hokkaido, Japan to ski in a few weeks time - been a dream of mine to go to the snowiest place on earth since I was a little kid watching the glowing red warning on the Weather Network Channel at 2am. Wouldnt that be funny if a historical event happened here while I was away
