150 mm is missing for this month in Coquitlam. We won’t get that.

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
I came across a post on FB yesterday or day before, showing an aerial pic over M Ridge, with Golden Ears in the background, dated Oct 18/1985. Fresh snow, and a decent amount by the looks, half way down the mountain. Is this the same year we scored the early, cold November?

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Yes, the coldest November on record for many locales across the province was back in 1985. The only other November that rivals 1985 in recorded history was 1896.Hawk wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 12:51 pm I came across a post on FB yesterday or day before, showing an aerial pic over M Ridge, with Golden Ears in the background, dated Oct 18/1985. Another note on 1985: some of the snow we received during the crazy cold snap in the second half of November remained on the ground for over a month -- through Christmas as December was mostly dominated by an inversion with weeks of fog and little precip.

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Snowfall data at the New Westminster station during Nov 1896 seems dubious given Steveston recorded 16.5cm. Rainfall/precip was also recorded when temps were near or below freezing which would likely indicate the snowfall that fell on those days was not measured.
