Anchorage is 125km west of the epicenter of the 1964 quake.

Vancouver is close enough to the danger zone that I'd be concerned and it is the type of setup that can experience very severe quakes, similar to Chile, Japan, New Zealand, and Alaska.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

His video was specifically mentioning Vancouver Island though, he never mentioned Vancouver itself.

And that fault is now due for an Mw 9.0 earthquake. Once the numbers get that large, the epicenter does not have to be that close for major damage to get done.
It's called clown range for a reason.

And don't forget a nice warm and dry December and January 😜

That would be par for the course.

Though if I had only two choices, I'd prefer a warm and dry pattern in December/January over a warm/wet one.

Yup, hitting the gym daily, which is at my house. My winning formula : 3 curls with my shovel , 2 jumping jacks , 1 pushup, and half a chin up. After burning so many calories I then nourish and replenish my body with 3 balanced meals : breakfast- large bowl of dark chocolate mini donuts sprinkled with fresh raspberries. Lunch : protein shake and banana/earl grey tea smoothie. Dinner : 3 cheeseburgers , 2 jumbo hot dogs , and a bowl of chorizo sausage cherry tomato pasta salad , no fries. I make sure I fast between meals, very important, liquids only, I alternate between water, coffee and beer.
Warning, do not try this at home, leave it to the professionals.

Better have a read of this published just today:

Even a tsunami set off on the east coast of Japan could have serious effects here.
