Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
How about a 2006/07 or 2007/08 repeat? Back to windstorms in November with a classic arctic front and snowstorm to end the month with more windstorms in December. Another arctic blast and snowstorm followed in January. Then comes along 2007/08 with more back to back wind storms in November followed by a classic overrunning snowstorm in December, which was followed by yet another big windstorm. Both of those winters featured the most dynamic weather I've seen since moving here in 2004. It was a brief glimpse of what Halifax gets most if not every winter.HarrisonSasquatchWx wrote: ↑Tue Oct 28, 2025 8:48 am Unless your a dancing pineappleJohn and like 12c and AR's.

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
I think you're right John! Slow progression downward with the snow levels would be great, then BAMMMM, huge snowfall by Nov 27 or so, heading into a cold and snowy December
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Just started pouring in Newton. Looks like some heavy rain is crossing the island. I will take a 2016-2017 winter as well, for the record

After off and on showers all day, heavy rain. 9.2 mm total so far today.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
12z GFS has tossed the Nito Ridging out. Instead, we will see a series of relatively weak fronts with some rain over the next several days. Pretty standard, yet meh for November
