Oh good, I thought EC had it tapering off and clearing but now we've got an 80% chance of showers, heavy at times and risk of thunderstorm, could be an interesting evening!

Appears Powell River got hammered and there's some cells in north Coquitlam.

I was working on a fence in Courtenay when that cell moved past. Quite the thunderstorm. Have video of the clouds spinning.

Re: August 2025 Forecasts and Discussion
I see on the radar a lone cell just passed over Earl’s Cove, but looks like the modelled evening showers might be a no-show for Metro Vancouver.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: August 2025 Forecasts and Discussion
Not much in the central valley desert this evening as well. We reached a high of 22.4c after this morning's rainfall not bad considering it is early August still.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 8:05 pm I see on the radar a lone cell just passed over Earl’s Cove, but looks like the modelled evening showers might be a no-show for Metro Vancouver.
