Which is a good thing, as it could well end up being another mass death event. Imagine -20 for 5 straight days and never going above -10 in that time. Imagine the stress on the grid? Any outages and we’re pooched.

Yep, exactly.

Going even further back, perhaps January 1862 could rival June 2021, anomaly-wise?

Of course you're sure,munchies is a given after using TP to roll a joint....no wonder your snow measurements are always skewed. Objects appear bigger than they are.

Finally had a chance to look at 18z 500mb ensemble. Block held in place a little better. Didn’t appear to want to be undercut as quickly.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Tuesday could be Snowy next week. A bit marginal but offshore flow giving a helping hand

Yeah it was a few degrees warmer in the short range but still sub freezing and it was colder in the long range. Not a bad run at all. :thumbup:
