Places like Grouse have substituted the winter revenue with summer revenue more now. Opening of bike park and soon coast type ride down the mountain. There is only so much interest and revenue in two grizzly bears and a logger man show that is on repeat. Maybe Seymour needs to start some summer activities other than the easy one of pay parking.

I forsee housing and resort developments being approved for Cypress and Seymour. Both are easily accessible by car.

00Z GFS ensembles seem to be in agreement so far up to the 20th. Much less spread than there has been the last little while.

Sub-zero 850mb temps with precip is a recipe for 800-1000m snow levels. Good for the local mountains!

Very significant for the eastern Fraser Valley, Whatcom County and Skagit County. You guys took the brunt of this storm and it's lead to some very serious flooding. Up there with December 1979, December 1980, November 1990, November 1995, and February 2020 in terms of severity. Probably missing a few other events in there but those are the first few that came to mind. November 1909 is probably the worst on record, with November 2021 following on its heels.

70-80mm over 24-36hrs is pretty typical for a fall or winter rain storm over here for our area in northeastern Metro Vancouver. 100mm+ totals during the same timeframe... it becomes more significant. It's all relative from region to region. Coquitlam is one of the wettest parts of the Lower Mainland. 70-80mm would be pretty insane for South Delta, but it's no big deal for us.
