Monday is gonna be a tough call. But if that thermal trough is overhead during peak heating it’s gonna be nuts.

I wonder if high cloud embedded in the southerly flow could cap the temp by a degree or two. Although, that is probably more likely down south.

You are free to believe what you want but you are not entitled automatic respect for whatever you believe. That is just a childish demand for a participation trophy under another guise.

I would never ban anyone for their opinion. Whether you agree or not, we are ALL entitled to ours and because of that we should also respect one another. And topics like climate change get everyone triggered because one side or the other simply cannot accept that there are MANY others, both experts and otherwise who have an alternate viewpoint. Censoring an opinion is the real danger, not the opinion itself. The sooner everyone in this world can accept that there's even just a minute chance that they may, in fact, be wrong about something is time when maybe we can finally start making headway on the big issues as human beings. But as long as we let our emotions get the better of us, all common sense and ability to problem solve is lost.

Anyway, back to our crazy weather. We have much to discuss.

I worked a 10 hour day today. Temp maxed out at 34.4C ( as high as anything I’ve seen here in the last 7 years). I didn’t find the heat too unbearable actually

I just saw that Mission school district cancelled school on Monday. Most of the elementary schools don't have A/C. This may be the first time school has been cancelled due to heat?

I hope other districts follow suit. Better safe than sorry. There's only two days left of school anyway.

Hit 33c as a high today, 17c as a low last night.

My guess is we hit 38 tomorrow. Saturday. In my area.
And yes, the official Vancouver weather station should NOT be at the airport. Such an inaccurate view on Vancouver temps etc.
