Monday morning snow on the 18Z GFS. Temperature checks out. Anything past this point that day is probably phantom snow, however.

Did this year ever got mentioned??? T3, maybe it's time to freeze the inlet and the river.

Hmmm... interesting. The January 1943 arctic blast was historic, but not that one -- looks like it was a prolonged moderate cold snap.

Those extreme runs really decided to run with that 1928-29 analogue that was mentioned a while back after Edmonton's snowless November. :lol:

No chance here of course, but maybe Edmonton will see a repeat!

Most cold snaps in the past have had some “historic runs” only to settle for a run of the mill cold snap imo

I will take run of the mill in a heartbeat this year. Especially if you throw in a snowfall or three.
