and Nito was right again from a few days ago. He said the energy is mostly heading south, and it will be dry most of this week, so basically i would say 95%+ accurate, if not closer to 100% iibh :shh:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

For the skiers: ICON is looking solid for mountain snow this coming weekend. I'm finally getting a piece of this, either Manning, Sasquatch or Apex. Unless of course it busts I'm not wasting my money.

well thats pretty much a wrap for this winter of few victories. Ill catch up later on sometime if any extreme situations transpire over the next several months. Ive wasted enough time on this site this winter, hoping for some epic snowy weather, that even the Similks was void of this year. Could be a terrible season for forest fires with the lack of snowpack in the Interior
Its basically bone dry in the SImilks, with the Mtn tops seriously hurting for snow depth

Clouds and winds kept temps up last night. Only a low of -1c in east Coquitlam. Better luck tonight hopefully! Dewpoints are quite low (relative to anything else this winter).

So I just got into work and it's flurrying in Coal Harbour again. Nothing significant but I thought it a noteworthy "surprise."

Just noticed it is flurrying IMBY. Radar shows a few weak echoes over the Strait and western parts of the metro area.
It's called clown range for a reason.

What is this white stuff falling from the sky???

Finally, first snow of 2026 and second of this winter. Coming down steadily, tiny flakes now and sticking.

Currently -0.2 with an overnight low of -0.7, not quite the -5 EC forecast.

i was watching those cells develop in the straight coming down from the north, with some strait enhancement and some intensification. I thought someone near the strait may yet see a few more flakes this a.m. After yesterdays sadness, i thought it was a wrap. Buuuuut that white ground in Roberts Creek pic is just another victory
Amazing :flakey: :flakey:

Damn should have won the game against the U.S. in womens hockey gold medal game. :( it's currently 0.2c @ the lake in Harrison Hot Springs with strong and gusty outflow just howling down the lake today stronger than yesterday.
