Is there a better snowfall map for us, poor Portlanders.

I don’t have any maps better than that.

The jet stream does look pretty impressive right now. I saw a tweet about how anomalous it was. That’s probably not sustainable and, although we may see cold onshore flow with a west to east strong jet, at some point in the first half of February we will likely see the jet retract (buckle). Where this happens will determine whether we end up cold or just dry out with ridging setting up too close to us.

Would this be the first time someone off this forum have meet each other?

Looking forward to it as well. We should be able to come by in the morning but if we don't make it until the afternoon, is that okay?

I think back on the old forum there was talk of that happening but it never got off the ground. I think the AF has them. They survived without any murders. l think with us only boxing gloves needed for some members. I think Leighbugs would have been a great organizer.

Current pattern reminds me of October/November 2016. Persistently wet with basically no dry/sunny breaks.

the ditches in Ladner are overflowing, blueberry fields are flooded, as is my backyard, the back half is a big pool of water at this point, just waiting for the ducks to land (they have before  )

Just came back from Similkameen. Another great trip...about 14" of snow at cabin..double that on the mountain tops as i went sledding. Caught several trouts ice fishing. While it pissed bommy rain here, it actually snowed there Weds night very heavy for a while..only got about an inch of snow. Next day was windy from the S and bommy..but very sunny. maybe a High of 5c..started the day with some very very light showers at 2c.
All in all, another great taste of winter! Looks like they should score much more snow the next 4-7days.

Was a very dry spring run off, so looking forward to getting lots of snow up there. Have a very solid, dense base up there right now

Interior snowpack is looking good now. To think 6 weeks ago how dry it was all across the south..now non stops rains here :shh:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)
