Well it's looking like another heat hump late next week to begin August.

Why do we always lack in T-Storms? We deserve at least 1 widespread storm!

Welcome to August! To say that the CFS is wet for September is an understatement

Just wait until I start posting those infamous hour 384 snowfall maps! No, I usually stop my WxBell subscription until some time in the Fall because it's usually pretty dull around here weather wise and it's expensive to just read about 7 days of sunshine and chances of smoke for $38/month

Re: August 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
Well if the 18Z GFS verifies, then this current heatwave may just be the appetizer. While the Euro and GEM have backed off, there have been a few runs here and there showing something similar. It all depends on the exact position of the ridge and thermal trough, which remains uncertain.
As usual, YVR looks like the cold outlier. But it's the place to be if you want to beat the heat during a heatwave.

My high was 30.7C with a dew point of 18.1C. However, I still think my humidity/dew point readings are too low. YXX hit 20.5C for the dew point.

Oh, joy. We have comparable humidity to Toronto. It’s reason 1/2 why I wasn’t happy with the rain earlier this week.
