Day 5-10 so subject to change but rare to see this these days -- broad west based -NAO block suppressing the pacific jet.

potential for the south coast with systems to our south.

From what I remember of the teleconnections for the Jan 2020 cold snap it was mostly due to the tanked PNA... was there also an anomalous -NAO?
Also looks like home grown cold on the 18z... wasn't it a lobe of the PV coming out of Yukon/NWT in 2020?
