I forgot to mention about the possibility of the snow staying as snow all of Friday. Possibly into Sat morning. Of course lower elevations at sea level will most likely change to rain or freezing rain. Inland will be interesting. It's a really tough call at this point. It will be a nowcast situation.

I’ve been lurking on this site every winter for at least the last five years 😜 I love the snow and this forum is my winter entertainment. Figure after 5 plus years, it’s time to actually join in on the fun (and maybe learn something as well).
Welcome Ridgegirl! Thanks for joining us. There's lots to learn and great people to learn from who always are happy to answer and now you can ask questions! Ask away.

The models are all over the place as usual. Euro seems low with its snow amounts, rgem maybe little high but hopefully not.

It would like the big heatwave - a potentially deadly situation for many. Luckily that will never happen here. That's a miserable cold. I was in Edmonton in January 2017 and woof it's no joke. Great city though.
