On balance I'd say January 2011 was a bigger bust. At least January 2005 had snow going into a fairly prolonged cold snap. Though the overrunning event was still a massive disappointment.

Final freezing rain total here looks to be around 9-12mm.

Some serious freezing rain here for the past hr, power flickering nothing has melted it is a sheet of ice over everything, still -6. Not sure the forecast of 20 to 30 cms by tomorrow will happen but if this continues we may be in trouble yikes
