End of January instead of beginning of February?

Will YVR record a subfreezing day in late January for the first time since 1997?

Stratospheric PV continues to take a major hit in long range modelling in early January. If blocking is favourable there should be plenty of cold air moving south later in the month

Models suggested 850mb temps near +2C yet snow fell down to 300m near...you guessed it, Campbell River. Fresh slush on the roads. Models continue to show numerous wet snow chances for that area in the next 7-10 days.

Image

These lows will bring everything into the fold the next week. Numerous windstorms for our area.

Give it time, Weeds :w101: it will arrive in Kells inbox. The snow in the central valley is just a shell of its former self sad indeed.
