How can this be a problem it was bone dry to begin with it's not like it rained then iced up and snowed on top.Weather101 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 10:45 am What a joke... 2 cm and city is done. Seriously it snows almost every year at least once or twice!! How is this difficult.

Coming down in big flakes now
Changeover to rain in Richmond will happen shortly, wetter snow and temperature above freezing.

It pretty much dried up downtown 2 hours ago but I gather it's still flurrying areas nearer the Fraser River?

Re: January 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
EC should have really gone with an SWS at least. The Euro and GFS had been hinting about something like this since the weekend, and then it started showing up in the short-term models. It doesn’t take much snow to cause slippery roads when it’s cold enough to accumulate easily.
OTOH, the lack of an SWS coupled with the forum going down yesterday evening really convinced me it was going to happen.

Mostly well south of it last I looked at the radar.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 11:23 am It pretty much dried up downtown 2 hours ago but I gather it's still flurrying areas nearer the Fraser River?
I would say I'm up to around 2 cm for the day now. That's what I've recorded in the totals, anyhow. I don't do fractional cm.

Storm missed out on this event
Or did we miss Storm?
Or did we miss Storm?
Are we prepared for this stormy, chilly and wet November, LN style, with our first warning shots coming early due to this potentially historic LN

A special weather statement wouldn't of mattered for how dumb drivers are. 99 percent of the population doesn't look at that.
