Yes you can say it Rubus..Similkameeens. Quite a nice area isnt it? Only 2 - 2.5 hours away.
I'm heading up there for a few days so I will update you all in the coming days.
Weather there is about the same as here last few weeks. Except more showers and rainfall totals up there during that time frame I guess I dunno..seems like it tho..due to some persistent troffiness. Looks like some instability over the next few days with T-Storms
Stay safe buttees
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++
Willoughby Langley at ~320ft / Similkameeeens ~3400ft

I will have to be more careful about mentioning that river with a funny long name that starts with an S.
Unfortunately, I plan to be travelling east on Highway 3 again at the beginning of next month.

Wetcoast91 in December 2023: That one AR in November barely made a dent in the forest fires still burning in the interior. Just hope this smoke goes away for the Christmas holiday but it looks like a massive inversion is coming with continued warmth for the higher elevations. At least my cactus plants are growing.
Christmas actually sounds reasonable seeing the burn ban remains ineffect until Oct 31st. it reached a high of 32c in the central valley today @ the pond in south Sardis.

Definitely warm out there today!
Currently 31.5c after a high of 33.0c here in east Coquitlam.
You were 1c warmer than the central valley today Tmax wow! it does happen wind flow smoke depth etc. It's currently 28c @ the pond in south Sardis its a beautiful summer evening. Here's a shot showing hazy conditions from my work in Abbs down near Sumas It's not bad bad but the Cheam range on the left is hazy indeed.

Nice! Since we sacrificed airplanes for snow, do you think anyone would miss the semi? Maybe it'd give us rain and even a t-storm.
Looks like Sechelt was the cool spot, high of 29.7c today.

Max of 31.2ËšC IMBY in East Van today.
Made all the more gross with the mugginess and smoke. Smoke + muggy makes the air feel filthy. It's not just sticky, it's like someone is smearing grease on you.
2025-26 season stats:
Climo ∞ to 0.5 GFS
Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)

Is it common for home weather station humidity and dew point readings to be inaccurate? I'm just curious because my humidity and dew point readings are often around 8-10C lower than YXX. My sensor is located in the shade. Maybe it's just microclimate but honestly, it feels a lot more humid right now than my station currently shows. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas? Thanks my friends.
It can definitely be wrong, but it also depends on your microclimate. If you have lots of concrete and not much vegetation, humidity will be less.
My humidity and dew point is usually higher than YXX on sunny days, but my yard is full of trees and vegetation which releases moisture. YXX is just grass which has mostly turned brown, so I expect the humidity to be lower there.
A dew point 8-10C lower than YXX seems egregious though.
