Ryan Maue (If I remember correctly) tweeted something yesterday about how models are starting to have a bigger consensus of ENSO flipping to La Nina.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:03 am Bright side foris this is looking like a one off El Nino.
It would really shake things up for 2024-25 if this verified.

I agree, They should just enjoy life without worrying about the weather. It's a bonus in my life. Sure, I love snow, but I'm not going to let it make me depressed or miserable if it doesn't happen, lol.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 10:48 am If your life is going to be ruined by having a holiday season that is snow-free, mild, and rainy, then your life is going to be ruined most years in this climate. The whole AF forum is a toxic environment that even when it snows, people are still fighting, and by time, it does snow members have already been through hell.

A one off El Nino is amazing. Wouldn't want to be stuck in this.stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 12:03 pm Ryan Maue (If I remember correctly) tweeted something yesterday about how models are starting to have a bigger consensus of ENSO flipping to La Nina.

I'd be happy with a cold neutral winter. Those have been big producers in the past, especially when paired with a +QBO.

Agreed. I'd like to give a coolish neutral ENSO a go. It seems like some of the strong Nina winters get over-hyped but don't really produce.

Re: December 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Recent Nina's have for some reason coincided with a strong +PNA phase in November and January's, almost bringing Nino conditions to the region. Really wondering what a sudden crash does for 2024-25. Seems like strong La Nina's have the biggest impact in that Feb-April period.
I think this winter will be similar to 2015-16.
