Looks like the North Shore ski areas are closing or closing terrain. Cypress is back to just the bunny run. On the bright side it appears that the closest ski area to me in Vanderhoof is opening Friday and I arrive Saturday. However, the forecast for the next day for that area is rain and then freezing, so I won't be hitting the slopes for a while.

Last white Christmas in NYC is 2009. I think Vancouver has done super in comparison.

The word "rapidly" might be exaggerating ;) We can still get sticking snow in February, it's just that it melts a lot more easily in the afternoons but we can still have sticking snow for a while in February.

Now looking at the potential for 150-200mm rain for the region between Monday to Wednesday with freezing levels near 2800m.
