Witnessing the stupid driving on McBride has left me speechless. Overtaking on the shoulder or going full speed into a right/left turn will mess you up.
Ya, people drive too quickly. You aren't going to take turns at regular speeds when you are driving on an ice rink.
Got hit two years ago while waiting at a light because of this. Buddy tried to turn the corner at regular speed and of course locked up and came straight into me.

Only down to -2 here. This is only down from +2.9 this morning. We've had more impressive drops. This might be one of the few times that arctic air misses us completely
Someone’s in weenie mode!
(I was impatient earlier, too, that’s why I took my bike ride.)

Would be fun to see when the last time tmax was -9ish during an El Nino year.
I just checked back for IMBY, looks like Dec 27, 2021 had a midnight tmax of -9.1c, otherwise the afternoon tmax was -10.0c.
I'll have to do some digging on that later, but for YVR I have a feeling we may have to go back to 1968-69 for that one. Of course it hasn't happened yet, so we'll see...

Of course, but that'd be a nice streak to break/match... 50+ years.
Thank for all the info Typer, appreciate it.

Personal attacks not necessary. I'm just making an observation. Please don't do that again.
Being close to a large body of water enhances temperature changes, it will drop over your way different dynamics could be at play causing a slower decline bro all good.
Chalk up another Kanuckle win in OT Pete's, Bess all l can say is we are the best in the NHL currently. 4-3 over Pitts Pens.
Looks like the sensor froze @ the Chilliwack airport weather station l don't think it's October. estimated temperature "The Day After Tomorrow" territory.
