If skies remain relatively clear and winds are fairly calm, should be no problem as dewpoints are also still low.

Fresh round of outflow tonight helps. YVR switched to NW wind earlier today for a few hours, which the HRDPS saw, now it looks like it's switching back to N then NE, which the HRDPS also saw.

I am also intrigued, is that wave from the NW what they call a shortwave trough? Meeting with a more typical Pacific storm system?

If the 925mb layer is above 0C but the 850mb layer and surface temperatures are below freezing, then would it be snow or freezing rain?

Yup. YVR temp has dropped from:
-4.3 with NW wind at 4:00
-4.9 with N wind at 5:00
-6.3 with E wind at 5:44 special observation
