Welp l'm going with B grade only cause of the major snowfall event and cold 🥶 in mid January it was too short to me l almost went with C+ but l was being generous really.
C. 48 hours of snow over a whole winter isn't really impressive. But the fact we got snow at all during a el Nino is.

I’m going to change my tune a bit and say we have a decent chance of seeing 10-20 cm with any elevation, probably mostly from that second trough and the subsequent warm up/overrun.

The more interesting question is how much local mountains will see. Maybe up to 2 metres at high elevations? It’d almost be interesting to do a snow forecast contest on that.

Definitely a big last minute save here, potentially salvaging an A- winter if you consider the circumstances. Unless you think winter ended yesterday..

A 30 cm dump that covers the entire region in the midst of a raging El Niño and a January slump goes a long way to erase the bad memories from this winter. And with more on the way!

I didn't think this was a bad winter with all that snow we got. Didn't we get over a foot of snow in January?

Quite a bit of phantom snow on the 18Z. Over 90 cm for Surrey. Could make cycling to work difficult.

We just have very low expectations due to our climate. Maybe being in ontario for a bit ruined how I look at winter. 2 days out of a 90-day winter is a C for me. On top of it being a warm winter as well.

Don't get me wrong, tho. You are correct with what you are saying about the 30 cm dump.
