Rainfall Warning in effect for:

Metro Vancouver - central including the City of Vancouver Burnaby and New Westminster

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Where: Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Howe Sound

When: Tonight and Saturday

Total amounts: Near 50 mm

Remarks: A low pressure system off the Oregon Coast will move inland today and track across southern BC tonight. Rain, at times heavy will begin this evening and taper to showers on Saturday.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Well, it will still be summer then, so no biggie.

Really, what we have seen this summer is something approaching a return to normalcy. Not complete normalcy, still warmer than long-term norms, but still a generally warm and dry pattern with occasional rainy interludes. Not wall to wall warm and dry the whole summer long.
It's called clown range for a reason.

A little more subdued in the SW regions, which is probably more likely.
