I was gonna mention that in a post. The recent extended chilly stretch every morning has primed local lakes/ponds for a hard freeze should we see an arctic blast next week, given they're already covered in patchy or full ice.

Although there's ice on Dolphin bog, near me, I think it'll only be thick enough for a swim 😆

Convergence zone setup? Feb 2019 and Jan 2020 had one. Some areas saw 20-30cm in a few hours while other nearby areas got much less. :wave: :flakey:

Agreed. 12z RGEM has 850mb temps from -6c to -7c over the Lower Mainland on Saturday, so it is definitely in the realm of possibility!
