Do you have a good closeup map around the time that cell blows up over Vancouver. I don’t but it certainly has a convective look to it. RGEM shows it’s still above freezing at sea level at that time and the low level outflow lags behind that feature. But maybe the tidbits maps just aren’t picking up on those fine details.

I don't have access to WB maps. Im using low quality Pivotal charts and UW WRF-GFS modeling.

I’m glad, let’s stop it where it’s at and properly build around Hughes. That being said he could walk also, but this whole Petterson & Miller saga can come to an end. Also Boeser might get 8x8 somewhere else, but I sure don’t want us to take on that contract.

Losing your first-line center and second-line center, losing your top six winger—there's no way to recover. You are gutting the team. Hughes won't stay, and he made it clear he won't stay for a rebuild, and how can you blame him? This team has been rebuilding for 10 years; it's a joke.
But yes, the Patterson-Miller rift is not fixable, so you have to do what you have to do.

The cap goes up to $113 million in 2027, so 8x8 isn't bad at all.

I mean, in his defense, Petterson showed up to training camp really out of shape, and Miller told him it was unacceptable with the money he was making. Petterson cried and resented him since then.

They won't even make it. Pretty clear after hearing Elliot today that Brock Boeser is gone. Pettersson is either going to Buffalo or the Blue Jackets. Miller officially expanded his no-trade clause list today.

Agreed. The Euro continues to split the polar vortex, which would be perfect but unusual timing given we already have high latitude blocking/-PNA well established. Usually it's the other way around. That is, the SSW occurs and the polar vortex either splits or is displaced, which initiates the high latitude blocking/-PNA pattern. In this case, the blocking pattern is already in place so the polar vortex split would simply help prolong the cold. Absolutely incredible if this verifies. Could be the coldest February of at least the 2000's. Still fantasy but it's a realistic fantasy.

Forum seems better today speed-wise, last night it was really bad, due to the large amount of members. We've had more members on at one time before, so not sure why it's so bad recently. Probably thousands of weather maps clogging up the storage space LOL!
