They can't rebuild because apparently Hughes said he doesn't want be apart of rebuild. There's no way we are losing him. Not a chance.

But trading Miller, Pettersson, and Boeser is a 100 percent rebuild; there's no way around it, unfortunately. Canucks are not getting good value back in these trades, and Rutherford said so himself.

Rutherford said himself, "If we have to trade those players away, then Hughes would go as well. We would like to keep Hughes a Canuck forever."

He's literally preparing Canucks fans for a rebuild and potentially losing Hughes. If the president of hockey is saying this then it doesn't matter what we say lol

Agreed. The Euro continues to split the polar vortex, which would be perfect but unusual timing given we already have high latitude blocking/-PNA well established. Usually it's the other way around. That is, the SSW occurs and the polar vortex either splits or is displaced, which initiates the high latitude blocking/-PNA pattern. In this case, the blocking pattern is already in place so the polar vortex split would simply help prolong the cold. Absolutely incredible if this verifies. Could be the coldest February of at least the 2000's. Still fantasy but it's a realistic fantasy.

Ummmm Dec 15-30 2008 vs Feb 1-15. Higher sun angles and longer days will kill many of the benefits of those shorter days of Dec 2008. There will lots and lots of melting and sloppy, slushy events im sure.We will be in mid Feb at the end of these runs..pretty much time to move on from the snow. Tell em Nitro!!
