18z GFS looks to dig the trough west a touch more. A little less snow in the Lower Mainland with that.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Do you have the option to upgrade the current web hosting account package to one with higher specs (storage, memory, bandwidth, etc.) from the current provider? That would be the easiest (and maybe cheapest) solution.stuffradio wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 1:48 pm Sounds exciting WPro!
In regards to the forum, is it better to try and get it moved over soon even with all this excitement, or should I wait until it dies down a little just in case something screws up?

Less for the Valley, western parts of metro Vancouver still hanging on to heavier amounts.

It's turned back to snow on Mt. Washington. I will follow the temp progression up there.

Let's wait. No reason to risk the forum going down for an extended period during this current winter forecast fun.stuffradio wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 1:48 pm Sounds exciting WPro!

Icon is digging the trough a bit deeper offshore as well. These are micro details that could mean the difference between 2-5cm and 15-30cm.

Our local forecast called for the temperature to drop to 0 this afternoon. It is currently 7.1. Although the afternoon lasts until 5pm, we have a loooong way to drop.

Insane forecast. It's not even 0C in Port Hardy or Bella Coola.

Time to get into HRDPS. GFS is becoming pretty useless.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 2:18 pm Icon is digging the trough a bit deeper offshore as well. These are micro details that could mean the difference between 2-5cm and 15-30cm.

Was speaking more to the lack of snow in Eastern Metro Van and the Fraser Valley.

18Z NAM 3km continues the trend of scaling back our amounts. Not really showing a whole lot on either Saturday or Sunday.
Though amounts do seem to be picking up on Sunday night.

Re: January 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
HRDPS sorta looks interesting for western areas. Most of what is shown there falls in the final 6 hours.
