Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
I find EC’s forecast style misleading. They issue an 11 a.m. update saying 5-10 cm with 15 inland. I think it would be reasonable to read it as that’s what they think is still coming today. But really that is their forecast from this morning that they just haven’t updated.

The 12z HRDPS shows a few heavy bands of snow pushing through Metro Vancouver between 2pm and 8pm.

Sun is starting to poke through. Slushy out there now with the snow falling off the trees as well.

Could be wrong but I think the worst of the snow is behind us. Especially for the Fraser Valley and E Metro Van.
Some areas got skunked bad.

You absolutely might be right, but I think the worst (best?) is still to come. Between 2 p.m. today and 11 a.m. tomorrow I suspect most areas will get over 5 cm. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some push 10.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:18 pm Could be wrong but I think the worst of the snow is behind us. Especially for the Fraser Valley and E Metro Van.

Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
I just measured 25 cm on my concrete patio, and I know it was very wet in the beginning so took a while to stick. I'd be surprised if there's not a few centimeters more on grassy areas EtcWintergirl wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:08 pm I was just thinking the same, we are getting hammered here. Snow won't let up just keeps coming, will be white out conditions when the outflow kicks in. And yes I'm thinking over a foot by later tonight![]()

Looks good for a few cm more for western sections.Weather Dude wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:20 pm You absolutely might be right, but I think the worst (best?) is still to come. The push of arctic air is already drying out areas in the E Fraser Valley. Hope was forecasted to see snow and it's clearing there.
