Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
I 100% have and I've kept the scoring system for the 4th year now. I'll dig it up.Radar wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:38 pm How come you guys haven't developed a point scoring system for winter grading.
Days with sunshine 2 points
Mornings below 0 1 point
Snow 5 points
Snow more than 5cm per day 10 points
Snow more than 15cm per day 30 points
Thundersnow 30 points
Hail 5 points
Snowcover for 72 hours 5 points
Windstorm over 60km/hr 10 points
Windstorm over 80km/hr 15 points
Then total up a winter to get a grade. Grade point based on bell curve.
Totally sounds like a nerdy weather thing to do.

Blob #3 (just N/NW of Mt Vernon) looks good..hope it intensifies now and repeats what Blob #1 did, but even more widespread

I was thinking you could add negative points for consecutive days of rain but that might upset the pineapple heads in here who look forward to AR events.

Abby east. Looks like it should wrap up here soon as that low in Western WA is heading ENE in a hurry.

Looks like we might catch some more scraps here but after that it's probably over. A very nice little event tonight.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 7:29 pm Abby east. Looks like it should wrap up here soon as that low in Western WA is heading ENE in a hurry.
