Cold signal for late March into April

Probably your +8C and rain pattern with Mountain snow.

30 cm fell in downtown Toronto. Insane snow depth on top of last week's snow. What's crazy is the models had Toronto switching to rain overnight after 15 cm of snow and reaching 2°C before dropping again. But it never happened. The mixing line never came close to Toronto, and it stayed all snow during the event, and the temperature didn't get above -5°C.

It's a mess, and potentially another 20 cm is expected Saturday and Sunday. There's around 50cm of snow on the ground where my location would be

I guess it's just a numbers game and one of these years will have a front loaded winter and a cold one. It'd be nice to have cold and snow starting around mid-December and that pattern holding right through until the end of January more or less. I'm still waiting for one of those years. Like 2008.. that was epic and a repeat would suffice

January 1999 repeat in February?? Toronto had to call in the military to help clear 120cm of snow that fell over roughly 14 days back then.

For comparison, Vancouver recieved 100cm of snow in 4 days in January 1971... no military needed! 8-)

 That's crazy! I mean, it looks like another 20 to 30 cm Saturday night we will see how the city handles it. It's a ghost town at the moment compared to usual Toronto traffic and life during the week.

Yes, temperatures have been very lame with this "reload".

Low -2.7C, currently -1.3C and gusty.

Looks like my low for the winter is only -9C. Pretty sad compared to -16.6C last January.

I'm not quite ready to score this winter but it's trending towards a D or a C- at best.
