EC's forecast was 30-50 mm for Coquitlam area from yesterday night to this evening.
We had... 6-10 mm, just saying.

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
i go up there all the time. I switch over when the weather looks sketchy for snow...usually mid to late October, depending of course. If it is gonna be like H20c and L5c in the Similks, i switch the next trip up. I mean, Oct 1 is only 1 day past September rightstuffradio wrote: ↑Wed Oct 01, 2025 2:52 pm We now need to have winter tires on if driving the Coquihalla.
But yes, def better use snow tires with good tread. I find most good snow tires lose their magnetic grip after 2 full seasons of use, no matter how much tread is left.
Drive safe buttees

Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
The law says you must have winter tires past Hope and past the first of this month, but I ignore it in the fall if I’m heading up the Fraser Canyon and there’s no sea-level (or near-sea-level)Hawk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 02, 2025 7:19 am i go up there all the time. Re: October 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Perhaps in the U.S. perhaps Trump will sign an executive order on mandatory winter tires Rubes.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 02, 2025 8:24 am The law says you must have winter tires past Hope and past the first of this month, but I ignore it in the fall if I’m heading up the Fraser Canyon and there’s no sea-level (or near-sea-level)on the horizon. It’s not like they’ll have checkpoints or anything.
