The rain gauge at David Avenue is definitely wrong. Same for the one at Cottonwood Park.
I have contacted the City of Coquitlam about that.

Just for reference, the rain gauge on my weather station (not 100% accurate) recorded a storm total of 34.5mm, so pretty close to the city one at Poirier.

Mine has shown a fairly similar total to it throughout the fall with the city one 2/3mm higher on average.

Who knows though, maybe they are both inaccurate. :o :o

Poirier, Burke Mountain, and City Centre gauges look accurate (recently, anyways).

The City Centre one (on Lougheed Hwy in east Coquitlam) has had many issues in the past as well though.

I don’t know it’s been a really sad start up there this year. The valleys have got basically nothing so far maybe a couple of dustings.

I am hoping there will be a couple of Similkameeeens Smashers coming up soon

You basically live in the foothills of the North Shore Mountains. It is normal for your backyard to receive significantly more precipitation than mine.
It's called clown range for a reason.

MIL turned 70 this week so we came down for a visit. My wife flew down (to Las Vegas since it's the closest airport). Kids and I drove. We are starting home tomorrow. Government shutdown means national parks are free right now so we will go to the Grand Canyon tomorrow
