With the GFS currently showing -7/-8 850's I think we'll be in a decent position to potentially see that. Still a bit to go though.

Good news is that either way, the mountains will look much better soon.

-4/-5 850's will do the trick with some offshore flow during this time of the year.

Unfortunately, most people I know simply can't afford skiing or mountain sports at this point. So we continue to sit here in our valley bottom slums looking longingly upwards..

The 12Z GEFS was better than the 6Z.

Hopefully the GFS can be right for once.... we've seen this already this season... seems to be sort of off on it's own.

The EPS carries that trough out to sea. Constant showers with slightly below seasonal temps. Still loads of snow above 1000m but that effectively kills any lowland snow chances in the LR.

l gave up watching them back in October but yeah similar to the 2015/2016 season.
