Freezing levels crash on Tuesday which is good news for the local mountains (and the similkameens :wave: ).

Flooding concerns for lower elevations as we will still be getting lots of rain, although it will a much bigger problem in Washington and Oregon as the ARs shift south this week.

At 11 AM EC had a forecast high of 5C for Princeton. The high temperature was 8c. There’s another one for your archives Goose

Modified arctic air will gradually push its way south, out to the north and central coasts this week. Cold rains transitioning to snow.

Lattes 18z Euro has -6°C 850 mb and -1°C 925 mb on Friday 19 into Saturday with Snow showers.

I love your optimism, Storm. And I hope I am very wrong, but this does not strike me as a snow profile. SW flow at 925mb and warm surface temps.

In case you don't know this website, here are some rain gauges in Abbotsford: https://www.flowworks.com/network/hmisc ... d_esc.aspx

Same network exists in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley, Maple Ridge and Surrey.

What interests me right now is a chance for some snow on Christmas Eve. It does warm up on Christmas Day, but it is about all we can get right now.

EC has posted a first orange warning(that ive seen)... for rainfall, of course :thumbdown: :thumbdown:
with freezing levels soaring to 2500m by tom afternoon :shock:
