I wish you luck in that. Keep in mind, the east is just coming out of one of their greatest "slumps" of winters in history. Duds all over the place. This isn't restricted to the PNW. Great winters are becoming confined to one small corner of the world, in this year's case it's the far Northwest.

You are best to move to the snowbelt areas in the Great Lakes or the Praries if you are winter weather enthusiast.. A 1-2C in seasonal norms have already made a huge difference in seeing lowland snow with zonal airmasses and cool maritime airmasses. The warmer SST off the Coast are just compounding matters.

NAM and GFS are look pretty bad. SW Metro Vancouver could see sustained 50-70km/hr winds but gusts could reach 120km/hr. I feel that might be conservative though.

I think the Euro/GEM are wrong in showing this fizzle out.

The incoming windstorm may be like our "Heavy Snowfall Warnings", meaning basically 50/50 and we could get 30cms or 3cms
